Karolína Koloušková Myslíková was born on March 27, 1971, in Pilsen, Czech Republic, into a volleyball family. She began playing volleyball at the age of six in Slavia for VŠ Plzen. She then transferred to Praha IPS. She was given the opportunity to play in Turkey at the age of 19 and ended up playing for 11 seasons, earning many championship titles, making the final four, winning the president's cup, and being named the best foreigner of the year 1990-91. After returning to the Czech Republic, she played for Olymp Praha for two multi-championship seasons. After that, a little diversion to France and Greece. She played for Slavia Praha for six years until leaving at the age of 42 to join VK Rokycany in the lower level. She is currently working as a coach for the U18 Extraliga team at USK Plzeň

Jakub Koloušek was born in Prague on February 28, 1973. He began his volleyball career in VK Praha, where he won two championships and one multichampionship title. After VK Olymp was cancelled, he went to Prague and carried-on in Nymburk, Perštejn, and Dobřichovice. He then married Karolína in 1999. Jakub then took a detour to Poland, Slovakia, and France. He left his professional career in 2005 and became a professional soldier of the Army of the Czech Republic. (AČR) He then took a year off from volleyball to serve in an overseas assignment for an international peacekeeping mission for KFOR. When he returned back to the Czech Republic, he stayed to work as a professional soldier but he continued his career as a volleyball player with Sokol Dobřichovice and then as a coach for both the men's and women's first league volleyball teams. Following up on his return from a second and final (accomplished) overseas mission (in Mali) as a soldier of AČR in 2021, he was offered a position as assistant coach for the Men’s highest league (Extraliga) team VK ČEZ Karlovarsko with head coach Jiří Novák, as well as being offered to be the head coach of their juniors team. A year later as assistant coach of VK ČEZ Karlovarsko, he celebrated winning the 2022 National Championship title.
